Dentist Day on the Hill
WPDA sent a delegation to Capitol Hill
in Tallahassee on April 18, 2007 for Dentist Day on the Hill.
Along with other members of the Florida Dental Association from
around the state, we focused attention on the issues important to
dentistry in the state of Florida. We spent the day meeting
with legislators from Pasco and Upper Pinellas Counties. Our
involvement in this annual event allows dentists to provide the best
quality care for our patients in Pasco County.

Pasco dentists applauded by County
Commissioners
On Tuesday, March 27, 2007, dentists in
Pasco County were recognized by the Board of County Commissioners
for their volunteer services. Most recently, dentists from the West
Pasco Dental Association donated their time and resources in
partnership with the Pasco-Hernando Community College at this year’s
“Give Kids A Smile” event. February 9 and 16 the dentists diagnosed
and treated 114 children from 14 different schools in our
community. The free services performed on both days totaled an
estimated $49, 311.00. This is the fourth year the WPDA has
participated in this event and we already planning for next year!
Participating dentists were Drs. Melissa
Grimaudo, James Lewis, Mark Mitchell, Raj Grover, John Walker, Steve
Durrett, Jeff Wilson, Paul Miller, Jeff Baumrucker, Paul Rubenstein,
Lyndsay McCaslin, A. Mostafa, Scott Folino, Heidi Korn, Robert
Wolfenden and Ray Anel.

The
West Pasco Dental Association’s members provide care for adults in
the community as well. They volunteer in several community outreach
clinics including the Good Samaritan Clinic and Battered Women’s
Shelter, as well as every day in their offices through pro-bono
work.
